The Wexford Carol

“The Wexford Carol” is an Irish melody that is thought to date to the 12th century. It achieved wide popularity in the 20th century due to its inclusion in The Oxford Book of Carols. This arrangement for solo trombone with flute and piano accompaniment features an impelling rhythmic foundation, rich harmonies, and lovely countermelodic lines for flute.
